EVALUATION AND TREATMENT

In 2006 Vehicle and Traffic Law 1198 was enacted.  It established “special procedures” regarding mandatory alcohol/drug screening and treatment which are now applicable to most DWI cases.  Practically, this means that the courts in White Plains, Yonkers, Mt Vernon, New Rochelle Bedford, Harrison and the rest of Westchester County, will require, at your initial appearance, an alcohol evaluation and participation in subsequent treatment if indicated.

CHOOSE WISELY

The place you choose for that evaluation is an important decision.  All to often recommendations regarding types of treatment and its length will differ.  The following is a list of approved alcohol treatment facilities. It is critical that you discuss your choice with your DWI attorney.
